The Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases is a center for research and surveillance of all factors that could affect the health status, both at individual and collective level. This goal, definitely ambitious, is attainable only with the contribution of knowledge and professional skills of different specialists through a multidisciplinary integration. The Department is indeed made up of six different Sections: Hygiene, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Microbiology, Parasitology and Health Statistics.
